Associated Fire bests PrimeTime

COLUMBUS – Associated Fire
jumped out to an early advantage, and never looked back taking a 13-5
victory over the PrimeTime Patriots in American Legion State Tournament
action Sunday night.
Associated Fire pounded out
15 of their 21 hits in the first four innings, which led to 11 runs.
Justin Paul led the charge for Associated, with four hits, including a
double and a pair of RBI. Joe Mancuso contributed three hits of his own,
including a Grand Slam in the 2nd inning.
Four Associated pitchers
combined to limit PrimeTime to just seven hits, while combining to
strike out nine.
Associated Fire, now the lone undefeated team in the tournament, will
take on Hastings at 8 PM on Monday evening. PrimeTime will face Lincoln
Pinnacle Bank in a loser-out game at 5 PM.
